We, Judy & Ernie, Joanna, John & Jan, are planning to have lunch on May 30th at the Golden Palace.
John & I ate there for the first time in the early 1970's. It is around the corner from the 7777 Hiawatha house. I remember being surprised when Dad (Noel) ordered shark fin soup. It was the first time I'd ever heard of such a thing!
The restaurant has changed hands several times since then, but it is still there and doing business. Besides, it is always good for us to get together and visit!

The visit was great. The food was very good. It was weird seeing that area again. The Hiawatha house looks so different. The whole area has changed so much I had a lot of trouble recognizing it. Of course I haven't changed at all in the same intervening years.
