Beauty in Far Away Places

Jeanette and I recently returned from a Canada where we visited New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. The scenery was beautiful and the time relaxing. We will return to Canada next year and visit the Toronto area and Niagra Falls.

I am sharing a couple of PIX that shows the Canadian coast line that we were privleged to visit. Hope you enjoy.

Way of Life

School has started. I, for one, am thrilled. I still get to see the kids, but for a shorter time each day. They are doing well.
I, on the other hand, have come to realize how much I haven't done over the summer. There are spiders living in the corners of some of my rooms that have legally claimed territory under the Land Grant Act of 1870; i.e., they have lived in their location for more than a year and they have improved the property. I've got to do housework soon! Perhaps even in this decade!
But...I get new carpet for my living room next Wednesday! All may rejoice! I figure that new carpet makes up for a great deal.
Well, must go. Judy's birthday is coming up next week as well. I simply must sit down and figure out how old she is. I'm sure I'll be finished in time to wish her an accurate happy birthday! Love you, dear! Bye now!

Loquacity

Loquacity. The condition of talking too much. Of just blathering on and on and on. I'm sorry that we in our family seem to suffer from this condition. Jim, particularly. I don't know if I can handle the information overload! Incidentally, as none of you asked at all, school starts in just three weeks. Not that I would mention it - for the world!

Not again!

Ok, what am I doing wrong? I wrote a post and it disappeared. Let's see if I can get this one to show up.

Lunch & Visit

We, Judy & Ernie, Joanna, John & Jan, are planning to have lunch on May 30th at the Golden Palace.

John & I ate there for the first time in the early 1970's. It is around the corner from the 7777 Hiawatha house. I remember being surprised when Dad (Noel) ordered shark fin soup. It was the first time I'd ever heard of such a thing!

The restaurant has changed hands several times since then, but it is still there and doing business. Besides, it is always good for us to get together and visit!

Judy has nothing to do.

Today is Sunday, November 30. Judy has nothing to do today. She is merely having 7 missionaries and somebody else, I forget who, to dinner. I am glad Judy has nothing to do today.
On the days that Judy is really busy, she goes to the Family History Center, serves at the Temple, works out and prepares a gourmet dinner for 125 using two lettuce leaves, 3 old raisins and a twinkie. She prepares the dinner using nothing but a fork and pan, both circa 1950. She barely has time to fix the dinner, however, since Martha Stewart is constantly on the phone pleading for decorating advice.
I'm glad Judy has nothing to do today.
